At Lakeview, our goal is to enable individuals with acquired brain injuries, neurobehavioral impairments, and other complex medical disabilities to achieve the highest level of functional independence possible. Due to the experience, dedication and compassion of our staff, we can treat some of the most challenging and difficult-to-place individuals. At Lakeview, we are dedicated to the treatment of the individual served, not their diagnosis.
The Neurobehavioral Program is a State of Wisconsin certified program. The program provides a moderately to highly structured treatment environment with clinical expertise meeting the needs of persons with acquired brain injury who are impaired by a lack of behavior control. As a result of their brain injury, they may be oppositional, verbally or physically aggressive, impulsive, apathetic, depressed or unable to manage frustration. The goal of the program is to help the patient control the behaviors through learning new techniques, by managing the environment, and/or medication adjustment.
