SYNOPSIS:
Gender Issues in Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Long Term Outcome. Much of the research reported on traumatic brain injury (TBI) rehabilitation and outcome is based on all male or predominantly male samples. Females form a sizeable and growing minority of those affected by brain injury, and often have a different course of recovery based on biological, psychosocial and vocational aspects of the female experience.
